Born from divine conflict and shaped by exile, Wilder stands as a continent of diversity and tension. Sixty years ago, chaos portals tore open across the land, and their echoes still ripple through the present day.
From the necromantic Kingdom of Vira to the militaristic Ondrul Empire, from the underwater democracy of The T’vathian to the factional struggles of the Warring States, this is a world where ancient traditions collide with new powers. At the heart of it all lies Estazia—the greatest trading city in Wilder, a melting pot of all races and cultures, surrounded by dense jungle and mystery.
But darkness stirs. Undead rise during festivals. Priestesses vanish. Colonial powers from The Terran Empire creep toward southern shores. And five souls, bound by fate, find themselves at the center of it all.

Session 6 - Tangled Roots Session 6 - Tangled Roots Continuing through the jungle, the party shared campfire stories: Nakuji revealed he came from another dimension—his family murdered, his government hunting him—and had spent sixty years forging swords while waiting for revenge. Octavious discovered a cipher encoded in the radial frame of Fiddlesworth’s pocketwatch but could not yet read it. On Day 4, the party reached a chasm with a severed bridge and were ambushed by the reanimated Coeurl they had slain the day before—its spine threaded with lime-green plant roots that had brought it back. Burning the growth, they crossed the flooded chasm and found Karia, a knife-wielding Sun Elf child who communicated through gestures and fire, cutting the rope bridge behind them to stop soldiers from following. That night Meng dreamed of a tall Firbolg named Leo Tkar, sent by her contact Akaru, who urged her to face the lingering effects of the tome rather than flee—and warned that Akaru had been attacked.
Session 5 - Into the Jungle Session 5 - Into the Jungle Before leaving Estazia, Nakuji partnered with James Ramdath to establish a party homebase, while Meng overheard revolutionaries planning to storm the Governor’s Mansion—the party moved on, unwilling to risk M’Baku’s four-day-old freedom or endanger James. Traveling northeast, the group battled a pair of juvenile lightning-charged Jaguars before being ambushed at night by a massive Coeurl—both creatures mutated by the Chaos Portals opened sixty years ago. During first watch, Meng revealed her spy background and her mission to find Victor Cole, while Octavious ejected a hidden pin from Zolbarr Fiddlesworth’s pocketwatch. On second watch, Kunaq quietly recorded the day in his Kiupu as a distant yowl broke the silence—the prelude to the Coeurl’s attack. After slaying the beast, Octavious harvested its electric tail prongs as lightning bombs and collected two saber-tooth fangs.
Session 4 - What Lies Beneath Session 4 - What Lies Beneath Leaving the Spellspire with 100 gold and a sending arrangement with Keith, the party encountered Bruna, a Firbolg shopkeeper whose store had been robbed, and found a Burglar’s Jacket from The Solstice Boutique as a clue. Meanwhile, Octavius grew convinced that Zolbarr Fiddlesworth’s pocketwatch contained mechanisms far beyond what any timepiece would need. Investigating the White Oak Square Cemetery, they found no necromantic residue—only a faint magical presence suggesting a creature—and met James Ramdath, a lonely ailing Firbolg neighbor who allowed them to take items from his basement. To infiltrate Victor Cole’s room at The Seaside Chateau, the party staged a beach spectacle with gladiator challenges and a live forging demonstration; Meng slipped inside and found a letter to Fort Bastion requesting quarantine aid with specific directions. As the night wound down, James Ramdath stepped forward and gave an impassioned speech to the crowd: ‘We don’t have to give up on this city.‘
Session 3 - Pieces on the Board Session 3 - Pieces on the Board After escaping through the sewers, the party regrouped at The Leaky Dinghy, where they met scholars Keith and Julia of the Violet Sages. These two scholars sought a corpse from the attacks to study the cause of the undead uprising. The party agreed to retrieve one in exchange for knowledge of interdimensional travel. The next morning, the group gathered two corpses and a severed head from the sewers. While Meng lifted the city’s spirits with a mourning song for the fallen, the others noted rising unrest: citizens divided between grief, denial, and anger toward the city guard. On their way to deliver the corpses to the Spellspire, they encountered a heated crowd in the market—one speaker calling for isolationism, another, a visiting human soldier named Victor Cole from the distant Terran Empire, urging unity and compassion. He revealed a similar undead outbreak had struck a remote jungle village days earlier. Octavius and M’Baku grew wary of his imperial motives, while Meng subtly planted a tracking device on him before he departed. Finally, the group climbed the mountain to the Violet Sages’ Spellspire, where a tuxedo-cat steward led them inside to meet Keith and Julia. Preparing to petition the reclusive Luminary Montovani, they readied themselves for negotiation—offering the recovered corpses in exchange for information about the undead, the weave, and perhaps the greater mystery connecting these interdimensional events.
Session 2 - The Arena and the Sewers Session 2 - The Arena and the Sewers As chaos consumed Estazia during the Festival of Stars, the heroes — Kunaq, Nakuji, Meng, Octavius, and M’Baku— found themselves trapped in the arena with terrified citizens and divided guards. While Umbaku searched for his master, the others calmed survivors and surveyed the burning city. The ground soon erupted, releasing two acid-spitting ankhegs into the arena. Fighting side by side for the first time, the party combined divine magic, invention, precision, and brute strength to slay the beasts, earning a hard-won victory and one another’s trust. M’Baku’s master, Xu Jin of the disgraced Jin clan, arrived to release him from bondage — a moment of unexpected freedom that resounded through the arena in the lion warrior’s triumphant roar. Seeking escape, the group convinced frightened guards to let them into the arena’s underworks, pried open a sewer grate, and descended into the city’s dark underbelly. There, amid the stench and flickering torchlight, they battled undead remnants of the festival’s horror — realizing Estazia’s nightmare stretched far deeper than the streets above. After escaping through the sewers, they regrouped at The Leaky Dinghy, where they met scholars Keith and Julia of the Violet Sages and began recounting their tale over drinks at the bar.
Session 1 - The Festival of Stars Session 1 - The Festival of Stars The campaign opened in Wilder, a continent scarred by divine wars and lingering chaos magic, as Estazia prepared for its grand Festival of Stars. Each hero was introduced through a vignette: Kunaq, an elven acolyte tasked by High Priestess Quri Uki to hunt a rogue priestess; Nakuji Nabunae, the “Ageless Smith,” leaving his rabbitfolk benefactors to seek wisdom from the Violet Sages; Meng, a secretive tabaxi spy with orders to watch key figures; Octavius, a tortle tinkerer carrying the memory of his slain mentor; and M’Baku, a leonine gladiator enslaved after clan betrayal. Their stories converged as the festival began. During the parade, Kunaq and Octavius witnessed corpses rise from the crowd, attacking revelers while guards hesitated and even executed bitten civilians, sparking panic. At the docks, Meng fought off more undead alongside an ally, the skirmish leaving guards urging survivors into the arena. Meanwhile, M’Baku fought a furbolg gladiator before a roaring crowd, only for the arena doors to burst open as bloodied civilians and guards poured in, fleeing chaos outside. By session’s end, all five characters—some hidden, some thrust into the spotlight—were gathered in the arena, surrounded by terrified citizens, divided guards, and the growing realization that Estazia’s celebration had become a nightmare.
